After PBS decided to cancel the show, members of local PBS stations across the US and Canada, and parents called to object, with PBS reversing their decision. The cast and crew found out about this news during the show's wrap party, and did a letter-writing campaign to all the affiliates and questioned if they knew Barney was being defunded. Earlier, the executives had said that Barney & Friends was the loser in a competition for scarce programming dollars between it and two other children’s series- Lamb Chop’s Play-Along and Shining Time Station. Unimpressed by Barney & Friends, PBS decided to cancel the series in June 1992 as it couldn't afford it. Barney & Friends became a Daytime Emmy Award winner in 2001, and has been nominated for eleven Emmy Awards during its run on television. It was one of the most watched television programs and was the first show on public television to be aimed primarily at toddlers as Leach recognized a void in the market for video programming directed at preschoolers. He is joined by his other dino pals Baby Bop, BJ, and Riff, as well as a diverse cast of children. I'm asking this because I'm considering to buy a super35 cine camera, I was thinking "i'll just get wider lenses" but then I realized although wider lenses do give me equivalent focal lengths, they still distort the subject. So, when a 23mm distorts the subject on a FF, the 23mm on APSC does not just "get away with it" because it's 35mm equivalent which usually does not distort subjects on a FF. When you shoot 23mm ff crop in, you again see the subject blocking 3 buildings just like 23mm apsc. But if you shoot at 35mm ff, you see the subject blocking only 1 building which also appears larger. if you shoot at apsc 23mm, you see the subject blocking 3 buildings behind. Lets say behind the subject there is a row of buildings. If anything, shooting apsc 23mm is equal to shooing 23mm on a full frame BUT CROPPED 1.5x.Ģ3mm FF cropped 1.5x certainly is not the same as a 35mm ff no crop. In general, I would expect to pay $20 for a 128GB card, $30 for a 256GB card, and $60 for a 512GB. The prices fluctuate all the time, so keep an eye out for deals. In general, I recommend the cards listed below, in order or preference. I recommend using a card from reputable brands like SanDisk or Samsung to use in your device. Sandisk (left) and Samsung (right) microSD cards Overall, it might be worth the peace of mind to have fast shipping and an easy return process. However, the Amazon listing is available for Prime shipping and you can also get easy returns in case something goes wrong. The 2GB model is currently being sold on AliExpress as well.Ĭurrently the Retroid Pocket 2+ and Retroid Pocket 3 are also available via Amazon, but the price will be quite a bit higher depending on where you live. This will make the Android interface feel snappier and will also help with running Android games. The price difference is $10 and well worth it for the 50% increase in RAM. The Retroid Pocket 3 is available in two versions: 2GB or 3GB of RAM. The Retroid Pocket 2S is slightly less performant than the 3+/Flip but at a lower price point. The Retroid Pocket 3+ and Retroid Pocket Flip are the most advanced releases, and provide a significant performance improvement over previous models. You can check their delivery dashboard to get a sense of what they are currently shipping, but bear in mind that this dashboard is not always up to date. I would expect at least two weeks from the time of purchase to delivery, but that fulfillment may be delayed due to high demand. All models are sold directly via Retroid’s website. |
